Free two day immunisation course for Healthcare Assistants who are supported to develop their role in General Practice.

Course content:

• Core competencies for immunisers*
• Injection technique
• IM administration of B12
• Adult flu, pneumococcal and shingles vaccines
• The role of the Healthcare Assistant
• The role of the Practice Nurse Supervisor
• Assessment of knowledge
• Supervised practice & assessment of clinical competency
• Portfolio of evidence

Attendees MUST attend BOTH days and MUST have a Practice Nurse supervisor.
